Fenny Lock

Fenny Stratford Lock

A few images taken today. The weather was just below zero and ice had partially formed around the lock.  The weather forecast was predicting lots of snow and continuing sub zero temperatures for the next few days. As it happened we had snow showers later in the day but the snow did not settle. Fenny Stratford is part of the Milton Keynes conurbation and  the canal runs close top to the A5 at the south end of the city. The light for these photographs was poor and did little to show off this collection of buildings to their best. nevertheless with some post processing some interesting images resulted.  First, a short video of the photographs.

Notable for its manually operated swing-bridge, and for having the smallest rise of any lock on the Grand Union, about twelve inches.
